Medical Officer
Job Description:
Provide clinical services to students, teachers and employees.
Perform medical procedures and interventions as required, including but not limited to injections, wound care, minor surgery.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate intervention to stabilize patient.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare members including physicians, nurses, support staff and ensure patient care.
Diagnose illness, develop treatment plan and prescribe medication in accordance with established protocol and institutional guideline.
Providing essential and emergency drugs to the faculty, students, officers and staff of the university as and when required.
Verifying all medical papers and to ensure proper counselling of the patients as and when situation arises.
Providing on call consultation services to the NSU faculty, students, officers and staff if required after office hours.
Coordinating and monitoring the tasks of the nurse and employees of the NSU Medical Center and taking steps to make the Medical Center more user-friendly.
Issuing Medical Certificates for sick leave/leave on medical ground as and when required.
Any other job assigned by the Authority.
Academic Qualifications:
MBBS degree from a recognized institution with BMDC (Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council) registration.
MD (Medicine)/ Diploma/ MPhil (Medicine) qualified candidates are preferred.
Experience: At least 5 years, preferably in academic institutions.
Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
Pay Scale: Tk. 35,482-3,548-88,706 (as per NSU policy).
Other Terms and Conditions:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supervisory experience, and well conversant in computer applications.
Willingness to work on holidays and after office-hours if necessary.
Third division/ class/ equivalent CGPA of the candidates in any educational level will not be accepted.
Preference may be given to the residents of Bashundhara Residential Area or adjacent area of NSU Campus.
