Assistant Officer – Financial Aid Office (FAO)

North South University

Reports To: Deputy Director (DD), Financial Aid Office (FAO)


Job Summary:

The Assistant Officer of the Financial Aid Office (FAO) is responsible for supporting the effective administration and smooth functioning of financial aid and scholarship-related activities. The incumbent will assist in student services, academic data analysis, official correspondence, reporting, and coordination of various FAO programs and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct grade sheet analysis and academic performance evaluation for scholarship and tuition waiver purposes.
  • Handle student queries and provide necessary support regarding financial aid policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Prepare and issue Award Letters, scholarship notifications, and other official correspondence.
  • Draft official write-ups, reports, and documentation for submission to the University Grants Commission (UGC) and university management.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating Pre-Orientation Programs for scholarship recipients and newly admitted students.
  • Support the planning and execution of Financial Aid Office programs, meetings, and administrative activities.
  • Maintain student records, databases, and confidential documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Admissions, Registrar, Accounts, and academic departments regarding financial aid-related matters.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, and reports as instructed by the DD, FAO.
  • Perform other official duties assigned by the Deputy Director, FAO and university management from time to time.

  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.

Educational Qualification.

  • Master’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Relevant experience in university administration or student services will be considered an advantage.
