The Department of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) is responsible for the operation, maintenance and upkeep of North South University's campus infrastructure and facilities. The department ensures the efficient functioning of building services, utility systems, engineering installations and maintenance activities to provide a safe, secure and conducive environment for the NSU community.

Job Responsibilities:
Periodically inspect fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and hydrant system to verify they are fully functional. Ensure fire exit doors and exit routes are never blocked or compromised.
Identify potential fire hazards, assess structural vulnerabilities, and draft comprehensive fire evacuation plans
Act as the primary liaison with local Fire Service & Civil Defense authorities and assist in emergency evacuation procedures during a crisis .
Conduct regular safety awareness training and drills in coordination with security dept.
Maintain precise documentation of all fire drills, false alarms, incident investigations, and maintenance logs to ensure continuous legal and regulatory compliance
Document all training activities regarding fire safety
Plan and act for fire license
Develop and lead a fire safety team
Any other work assigned by top management
Academic Qualifications:
Minimum Master’s Degree/Equivalent in any discipline.
6 (six) months Training from Fire Service and Civil Defense Department.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in managerial position in fire safety department of any reputed organization.
10-15 years overall experience in fire & safety sector.
Must understand national fire safety regulations & guidelines and have experience to organize fire safety training.
Age: Not exceeding 40 years.
